Minimalist Elegant Web Design

Subsequent to yesterday’s post about elegant web design, here are two sample sites I like particularly, namely because of the minimalistic approach. Of course, the blank space can be populated by customizing the design.

Elegant white Web Design

Preview the site HERE.

The two above referenced sites are designed for media presentation. Their multiple gallery modules can hold most any current media format. Media embedded into flash offers a better protection against content theft while allowing for good quality images.

These two designs, optimized by Semiomantics will shortly be available from our store. Web Designers and Web Site developers can modify any files as we pass on all source files (fla).

Elegant Web Design

Elegance and Luxury are the guidelines of a new web site I am setting up to be added to our ElegantĀ  Web Design portfolio. The product addresses people or brands who are looking for a customized high-end media driven web site.

Building such sites is time consuming and demanding, namely when it comes to the media production and their formatting for high quality online use.

At present we have two sites under construction: a dark gray and a white design. The new product line will be called Protos Magas, a Greek term for the ultimate top notch quality.

Dark Elegance

Elegant Web Design often makes heavy concessions when it comes to SEO performance. In collaboration with the Semiomantics Site Smith we have developed technology to reach high visibility with flash driven web sites which compensates for the lack of readability of flash embedded content by Search Engines .

Here some first screen-shots of the new media driven Elegant Web Design.

Build your Flash Intro

After the 3D logo session last Friday, we have another unique session in store: Build your Flash Intro tonight at Ycademy.

Join from yorGOtalk at 7 pm London time (GMT).

Flash Intro

A flash Intro can be used in multiple ways, one of them being product marketing. Also, the format of the media is swf and can therefore easily be embedded into the flash website we are building at the March Online Seminar.

Have a look at a DEMO FLASH HERE.

New Logo Design

By Zo Nicholas

New Logo Design

A brand new website,Ā Zo Web Design still in its preparatory stages,Ā needs a new logo. After much deliberation and a brainstorming logo design study session I have decided on a very simple design.Ā Even a simple design can take time to create and execute.

Font Based Logo

Font based logo

I have decided on a simple font based logo design conveying the message of the website and its purpose. Ā The design is clean, functional and yet stylish. The design utilises the professional Helvetica font which is very clear and crisp when used in a design. The only choice of colour is black on a white background, however the background Ā colour can always be changed to suit a particular site design.

This particular typeface also creates a clean design that works well on business stationery such as business cards, letter heads and newsletters etc. It is scalable and reproduces well in print.

Elegant WordPress by Semiomantics 101

Elegant WordPress by Semiomantics

The series of post initiated by this post is about editing an elegant WordPress powered Website. The idea is to create a symbiosis between the most powerful scripts from Semiomantics and Elegant web design with high class editing functions.

The result will be a blog for users who want to dispose of advanced editing features allowing for high quality presentation, such as top brands or individuals with a taste for beauty, luxury and lifestyle.

For the purpose of the exercise we will call the theme Semiomantics Elegance.

The Semiomantics Engine

Over the years we have developed add-on scripts and modifications to theĀ  WorfdPress backbone which have proven to be unbeatable when it comes to high visibility and performance on Google Top 10. While at the beginning Semiomantics signed blogs did not make many concessions to beauty, recent developments have produced smashing websites while preserving the exceptional power of Semiomantics.

Global Sports US

The site for Global Sports US above is an example for styled design on a Semiomantics XO framework.

Also we are progressing on making Flash featuresĀ  “readable” by Google. The Semiomantics Flash Project, called Evolution is the best proof:

Semiomantics Evolution in Flash

Semiomantics Evolution in Flash 2

Semiomantics Evolution Sites can be viewed in Full-screen mode for an astonishing surfing experience.

Elegant WordPress

There are quite a number of brilliant CSS based WordPress Theme Designs out there and it is worth while to use such designs as a base for further development and customization. However, as style sheets cannot be protected, there is always a high possibility of being copied, except when it comes to unique functions for advanced performance and editing.

On the base of the WP Best Consultant design and layout, we have created the new project for Elegant WordPress at Semiomantics.

Elegant WordPress by Semiomantics

The present series of posts will detail the advanced editing and publishing features of Semiomantics Elegance.

Branding and Logo Design

By Zo Nicholas

Branding and Logo Design

Following up on my previous posts about Branding, this post concerns the next stage of the branding process that of creating a logo, a graphic representation of a business to promote brand recognition. Most companies today use this as a clearly visible and easily identifiable promotional trademark. Easily identifiable both on the web and offline.

Creating a Logo

When creating a logo one of the first steps is to decide which elements you would like to see in your design. What needs to be considered aswell is the fact that a logo will also be used on printed matter as well as on the web, therefore the end product must reproduce well in both formats. A complicated design is not always easy to reproduce succesfully. Simplicity well crafted is chic!

The Logo

Having recently changed the style,Ā layout and the colour on my blog I decided that now was the time to create a logo, a simple representation of what I do. Having decided on the elements to use, in this case just good clear and distinctive fonts like Helvetica, which looks good both on the web and in print, and an initial decision on which text was to be used the creative process began in Photoshop.

Logo creators

There are various logo creators online, for free or to purchase, that can be used quite succesfully to create a perfectly acceptable logo, however for a really professional look one really needs to use a professional image editing software like Photoshop.

Logo Design Study

After some initial designs, here are a few of the results of a brainstorming session last nite with Yorgo. Bouncing ideas with another person is a great way to improve the upon the creativity process. There will be more to come soon.
